Imagine a three-spoked wheel lying on the ground. One spoke aligns to the south while the other two are swept back at 120-degrees to each side. This elegant arrangement also represents the 240-degree, horizon-to-horizon travel, of the summer sun. As a result of this the primary wing, or spoke, aligned to the south has daylong access to the sun throughout the year.

In the interior layout the Kitchen is set as the center of this wheel (the hub) and takes its place at the pre-eminent location of the house. To the south of this lies the Family Room with arched, cathedral ceiling and Library Balcony above. To the east is the circular, cone roof, Dining Room, large Screened Porch, and Guest Bedroom above. The Children’s Bedrooms and Playroom are on the west wing of the second floor, above the four-car garage. The Master Bedroom sits at the center of the hub on the third floor. This has the form of a large observation tower, with panoramic views of the surrounding forest and ocean in the distance.
